Who we are
Our identity and purpose
BASQUEFIK, the Basque financial and investment cluster, is a non-profit association established in March 2024 to strengthen the competitiveness, diversity, and visibility of financial and investment institutions, and to connect with the needs of the broader business community. BASQUEFIK is part of the extensive network of Basque sectorial clusters, made up of 17 organizations.
Mission
To drive the competitive transformation of the financial and investment ecosystem through collaboration, innovation, and joint development—contributing to sustainable growth and well-being in the Basque Country.
Ambition
To be a key player in the competitive transformation of the Basque Country by mobilizing the financial and investment ecosystem as a catalyst for sustainable regional development.
Governing Bodies
Find out who is part of BASQUEFIK. The General Assembly represents the cluster’s governing body, and it is made up of all its members.
BASQUEFIK integrates a variety of entities ranging from institutional players, private investors, financial institutions, advisors and support activities, to Fintech and education.
We currently represent 60 organisations committed to promoting the competitive transformation of the financial and investment ecosystem to boost sustainable development and well-being in the Basque Country.
Management Board is the permanent management body of BASQUEFIK elected by the General Assembly. It currently meets a minimum of 4 times a year.
